History

CodeConnexion was founded in Colombo, Sri Lanka by Chandima Mendis and IT Practice A/S of Denmark in April 2004.

Chandima holds an M.Sc. degree from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and a Bachelors degree in engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He has been working in Denmark since 1989 and left his position as Certified IT Architect at IBM Denmark to start CodeConnexion in 2004 together with IT Practice A/S. Chandima is the CEO of CodeConnexion and leads the development activities in Colombo. He lives in Hørsholm, Denmark and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

IT Practice was acquired by Asseco Group in 2009 and was rebranded as Asseco Danmark. Asseco also acquired IT Practice's share in CodeConnexion at the same time. Asseco is the largest IT company in Poland and one of the ten largest software vendors in Europe with presence in many European countries as well as USA, Canada, Japan and Israel.
