Sri Lanka is known as a paradise with beautiful untouched beaches, high tea grown mountains, historic sites and a vivid multiethnic culture.

Peace dawned on the country with the end of the war in the north and east regions in May 2009. Sri Lanka is now experiencing a rapid economic growth(8% to 9.5%) and large scale infrastructure development projects have been inititated including new airports, harbours, motorways, power generation etc.
